Talk about a dream, try to make it real
Many distance athletes use mantras to keep them whole during long workouts. Through repetition it is possible to derive a kind of strength from the right mantra, and sometimes a small push is all it takes. Some of my mantras are straightforward:
“You’re almost there.”
“Pain is temporary, quiting is permanent.”
